Here we are; recovering from the side-effects of Tryptophan overdose... what a beautiful day.
We had the whole (local) family here - to include my son this time. It was a good time. Lots of talking, lots of eating - and the food was all so very good. Best part is the leftovers :D
After dinner, we all headed to Justice's tree farm and bought a live Christmas tree for Peggy's mom. The kids had a blast running around the trees and Peggy had a "good time" trying to catch Ivy there at the end when Ivy didn't feel very much like leaving. Jump over to our Picasa site for pics.
This morning Peggy and I hit WalMart and Target for the Black Friday festivities. I have come to the conclusion that people are major league ass-monkeys on Black Friday. Folks jumping in line, pushing others just to get a set of sheets - and then there are the employees... jeese.
On another note, my ex and I have finally come to a temporary custody agreement. Not I get to have my son a LOT more than before. It's great, especially since he will be moving back to Florida with his mother at some time in the future.

Election Day

Google Rules the World!
But seriously... It's that time of the year and this is a special year. Bush isn't going to be reelected and we get to choose, once again, from the lesser of two evils. I won't publish my opinions here because, quite frankly, I don't have one on this go-round. In fact, I'm not even voting this year.
Gasp!
See, the way I figure it is that I haven't done any research into who would be the best president. On top of that, whomever is elected will end up screwing those of us in the military, anyway. Oh, and the economy... let's not even go there.
To be honest, I just don't care enough this year. I have too many other things in my life jockeying for my attention. I hear you there screaming that this will affect my life... I know, I'd just rather minimize what I worry about right now and deal with the rest when I have to.
So, those of you that are voting this year: pick us a good one.
